Climb Kili for Cam!

Would you like to join Team Cam and climb Kilimanjaro in Cameron’s memory in August 2016? We are walking the Machame Route on a trip organised by The British Expedition Company. We leave the UK on Fri 5 Aug, and return on Wed 17th. The walk itself begins from Moshi in Tanzania on the morning of Mon 8 Aug, and ends back in Moshi on Sun 14 Aug. For full details of the itinerary, and the route, please download this trip booklet.

At the time of writing, the cost is £1245 per person plus flights, insurance (must have cover for trekking to 6000m), Tanzanian VISA (£40), malaria tablets (20 malarone tablets approx £30), tips for guides & porters (160-200 USD per person on the trip (not per guide/porter) and lunch & any drinks in Moshi and souvenirs. While the duration of the walk is fixed, it is possible to shorten the trip overall. You could leave the UK on 6 Aug rather than 5 Aug, and return on 15 or 16 Aug rather than 17th, dependent on flight availability.

If you have ever even had half a thought of climbing Kili, the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895m (19,341 ft), now is the chance! Please contact us on info@camgrant.org.uk to join Team Cam and help us all get up there in memory of Cameron.

Or, if you would like to support us by making a donation to Cameron’s Fund, please do so here at Total Giving: CLIMB KILI FOR CAM. Everyone Climbing Kili for Cam is paying separately for the trip so all donations go in full to Cameron’s Fund.

At present, Team Cam is: Alastair, Tamara, Helen & Kirsty Ferguson (Cameron’s Aunt, Uncle and cousins), Frances George (Cameron’s Aunt) and Duncan Allen (a college friend of Evan & Alastair’s) plus Carol, Alastair and myself.

Many thanks from Evan Grant, and all in Team Cam
