Barranco Camp via Lava Tower 

​Day 3 brought wonderful scenery under clear skies with a pretty frosty start!

Our trek began with a long steady climb over increasingly barren ground with Mt Meru above the clouds behind us

and Kili looming ever-larger ahead of us

and took us to Lava Tower Camp for lunch at 4630m.

Alastair (G), Phil and Andy even went up the Tower. Refreshed by a relaxed sit-down lunch, we then descended to Barranco Camp at 3960m.
