2016 Aviva Community Fund Finalists!
Just in from the Aviva Community Fund Team: “Congratulations – you’re a finalist! You did it! Your project won enough votes to make it through to the Finals. With over 5 million votes cast, that’s no mean feat, so you can give yourself a massive pat on the back.”
Very many thanks to everyone who voted for us, and encouraged others to vote too. Getting to the final means we were in the top 8 by votes cast in our category (“Health, disability & well-being” projects between £1,001 and £5,000). And, thanks to all who voted, it looks very much like we had the most votes in our category.
Now it’s back to business; Carol & I have to submit more information to Aviva and the Charities Trust (who run this for Aviva) to help the judges make their decision. In essence a project plan with our estimate of the impact we will have, and answers to some due diligence questions about our status and finances. That’s up to us, and we have to do this by 7 December.
The judges will then assess the 8 projects in the final for: Impact (40% weighting), Longevity and sustainability (35%), Likelihood of success (10%), Submission (10%) and Originality (5%) before selecting 2 of the 8 finalists as winners. Decisions will be announced on 10 January.
Fingers crossed, and very many thanks again, Evan & Carol
