- Here is some text about Cameron Grant Memorial Trust that you are welcome to use or adapt for the Personal Message on your page
Outwardly happy, successful and fulfilled, Cameron took his own life, aged 21, after a lonely, 7-year battle with depression. I am taking on this challenge for the Cameron Grant Memorial Trust to raise awareness about the risk of young suicide, and to encourage all in mental distress – especially young people – to speak up and ask for help.
The money raised will be used to produce more of Cameron’s Coasters and Wellbeing Postcards for schools, colleges, universities and any other community that can use them. Cameron Grant Memorial Trust also makes small grants to support innovation in mental health care and, where possible, to increase counselling capacity. Funds raised will support this work too.
For more information about Cameron’s Coasters & Wellbeing Postcards, CAM Support Messenger and the other work of the charity, please see their website: http://www.camgrant.org.uk. and this short YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oflbImp5V1c.

==TOP FUNDRAISING TIPS==
- START EARLY. The earlier the better!
- SHARE your TOTAL GIVING PAGE on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram and include it in your email signature
- EMAIL, WHATSAPP and TEXT your family, friends, colleagues and other contacts. Try a ‘Send to All’! Sundays are a good day to do this as people usually have more time to read it and donate.
- Regular POSTS on your social media accounts really work … try posting photographs, and videos with regular updates on training, money raised so far and thankyou’s. Late afternoon, early evening is the best time to post plus weekends!
- Always include the URL Link for your individual page which will take people straight to your page to donate. Make it really easy for people to donate! (You can copy it from the search bar when you are on your page… then paste it)
- Try a poster wherever anyone that anyone that might support you will see it!
- If you would like a QR code for your individual page (handy, for example, for a poster, or just to show people on your phone) please just ask Evan
- THANKYOUS for donations received so far can be sent in group emails and posts. This can really help to remind others who haven’t done so and to spread the word.
- Many employers offer matched donations; if yours does, please remember to ask.
- If you hit a TARGET on your Total Giving Page, increase it to a new one!
- Remember also to promote the challenge after you have completed it too. There are bound to be people who forgot to donate before!
