Shira Camp, 3800m

We woke on day 2 to find Kili in clear view high above us.

Our trek on day 2 was shorter, but much steeper, and took us up another 800m to Shira Camp where we are again lost in the clouds.

But no rain on the trek today and many warm sunny spells along the way with some glimpses of beautiful scenery. Food on the mountain continues to be great, and our guides, cooks and porters are all excellent.

Heavy rain did eventually arrive, late in the afternoon, but at least today we had tents for shelter so did not get quite so wet!

We are climbing Kili as Team Cam to remember Cameron, to raise awareness of the scourge of young suicide and to highlight the importance of good mental wellbeing for all. You can support us by donating at http://www.totalgiving.co.uk/mypage/kili-for-cam
